Music is very personal. A lyric from a song or a simple melody can transport us to another time and place. Music at a funeral can be very important. I can help you choose music that will reflect your loved one, make you smile, and connect with each other. You can choose hymns, pop music, classical pieces or live recordings. Music can be used to reflect and remember silently or sing loudly with joy; it’s your decision.
As your celebrant, I will chat with you and explore what music and songs will bring the memory of your loved one alive.
A civil funeral ceremony has you at the heart, and you can add symbolic elements and personalisations that reflect the life and legacy of your loved one. We can make the ceremony as personal as you want. This can include music, readings, candles, or decorations. You can request the congregation to wear bright colours; you can decorate the coffin and place personal items on it. We will work together to make your ceremony special, beautiful and memorable.
